2 Weeks in 1

These past two weeks have been pretty insane and I'm not really sure what happened, haha. But I will hit on the highlights.

So I believe I finished my last email when we had a typhoon. Luckily we survived with very little damage. Just getting totally soaked, haha.

We met with a lot of new people these past two weeks. Some have been great. Some...not so much, haha. But overall it's been a good week. One person was Larisa. She's a past investigator who finally agreed to meet with us again. And on this last lesson she agreed to baptism! We haven't been able to set a date yet, but we're really excited for her ^^

We also called an old investigator and she came to church on Sunday. We were really excited and then it turns out she was baptized when she was 8?! Her name is Maria and she's from the Philippines. So we brought back a member after almost 40 years of inactivity! And the elders are now teaching her husband and it turns out he now has a baptismal date! Miracles do happen ❤

We also had the chance to go to a members house and try on yukatas! And to make it even better, she GAVE THEM TO US FOR FREE! Still a little in shock about that, haha. And then she also gave us free kimonos! She is seriously the nicest lady ever and it's been such a blessing to be in the same ward as her. She was also very impressed that I knew how to put my yukata on properly, haha. Glad to know all those years of research are finally paying off!

Fun note: our weekly English class has become a flirt spot for old single people, haha. Seriously though, that's the majority of what happens. But it's always a good laugh and the young people who come are super fun!

Also I've been on my mission for over 4 months now? Where did the time go? It has really flown by and the experiences I've already had are amazing. And I'm so excited for all the experiences I've yet to have ðŸ˜„

We also went to another obondori festival and we actually did the dances. It was amazing and we felt like celebrities, haha. Nothing like being 2 Americans dancing at a Japanese festival to really draw people's attention.

Then today we had district activity in Okozaki! We played games and ate pizza and then got ice cream. It was a good day to just hang out and relax. And we got to wear pants! So double win there.

Other than that, things have been progressing as per usual. Investigators come and go, but we're hoping to see more progress over the coming weeks. All of the emails and things have been appreciated!
